Global learning

My participation in global learning at FIU has further developed my global perspective, awareness, and engagement to a great extent. In addition, I have gained new valuable skills that I'm confident will propel me to success.

 Global Perspective: My global perspectives have increased, and now I am able to see both points of view and take other's views into consideration in regard to decision making. I am able to consider the other point of view and understand it and use the cross-cultural knowledge I have obtained and use it to build a bridge of awareness and understanding.

Global awareness: Prior to my participation with global learning I had a vague understanding of how the world was all interconnected, my awareness has grown, through the courses I have taken, as well through my capstone experience. Every day I realize how intertwined we all are and how global issues have a domino effect, and ultimately affect one another. I'd like to narrow the gap between us and other nations and positively enhance our future.

 Global engagement: I'm very eager to get engaged and involved in cultural and international affairs to make a difference in society one step at a time. Moving forward, I would like to increase my intercultural problem solving through the first-hand experience in a foreign country and be of aid. I hope to lean into diplomacy in Asia along with my aspiration to teach English in Asia.
